So I went back today and got my car dynoed and tuned and I have 129.4hp and 132tq
with only the s-afc, 3"exhaust,short ram airintake.

damn i must have had a hell of a ka cuz i had intake headers exhaust clutch and pully and my car dynoed at 180 hp and 174 tq

i have a safc but never got to put it in

why was my post deleted?

Anyways stock good runnings n/a ka's ussally make 130-135whp yours with minor bolts ones should be at the 140whp or so. maybe check to see if your secondary butterfly valves are opening up?

ali....if you post that bogus ass sppedshop dyno one more time...im gonna slap and soak u in cheese.............lol

ali your car dynoed at that much more like 140hp and 143tq. You would not be able to get that much power out of a NA ka unless you had cams,11.5:1 pistons, head port and polished, ecu tuned

im pretty sure i recorded 200 psi on his compression test that i did. Which is about 10:1, probably from someone rebuilding the engine, resurfacing the head, flex hone and re-ringing the pistons. He was not pushing that big clunky mechanical fan, and also had a pulley with headers and 2.5in exhaust. needless to say his ka was in good condition.

i dont know man ask any one, whos been in my car it ran hard as shit, it kept up with a stock sr's

actually more like 120 to the wheels, stock. but yea with intake exhaust and the safc you SHOULD be making more than you are

can it have something to do with being auto?

holy crist yes. the torque converter and all the other makings inside an automatic transmission suck so much more power then a manual gear box.

www.ka24development.com recorded a whole second faster 1\4 mile time after swapping his stock ka to manual. My car was auto, god was it slow and had sluggish response and one long ass third gear that would never end.

Thats why you dynoed low

no has been proven over and over 130-135 on a nice running n/a STOCK KA....im not talking a pos 200K mile never oil changed ka...also this is S13 specs NON 91 since 91 is all fake anyways there no differance (FSM verified)......S14 made lower cause of the emission crap plus the lower duration cams...weirdly you would think they made the same since they didnt have secondary butterfly valves maybe thats a myth also.

i dyno'd my old s14 (auto& swapped a 91 ka motor since i blew my original one). W/the overdrive on i hit somewhere around 125 hp/128tq...overdrive off i hit 131hp/134tq. I had a AEM Intake and 3" A'PEXI N1 3"Catback exhaust. Tony, the kid that sold that clean Black S14 hit 139hp/143tq and he had the same bolt ons except he was 5spd. Both of us used a DynoJet.

When you dyno you should dyno in the gear that is closest to 1:1 ratio. Which is 4th in the manual transmission and 3rd in an auto ( OD off). There are small variations in between dyno pulls especially if they are not made one after another and even then there are ever changing variables. 10whp gain is expected if not more for slapping on a manual transmission.

well after my 5spd swap ill this weekend ill see if i notice any difference. though i wont have any dyno testing
