Those cars are more overratted than TuPaC :)

im sorry you feel that way, i have pictures of that car the same day those pics were taken in the advertisement and its a very nice car. plus, that kind of power is unexplainable after you have taken a ride. pretty reasonable if you ask me.

90k for a fuckin Toyota... cmon now.. thats a bit overboard.. I love supras just as much as the next guy but damn... you cant tell me those cars arent overpriced

If you tried to build a car 1\2 that horsepower you would understand where the cost is. its alot of money with all the attention to detail. please there is 20 thousand in the engine alone, add the turbo charger, exhaust + intake manifolds, engine management system and an engine tuned which actually made 1095whp. Its more then money to buy the parts and slap them together, its a mini engineering marvel. You should be able to appreciate that car for its price tag, which isnt stupid money when purchasing a car of this caliber.

It takes about 33k to build 800-900 whp out of a 2JZ. So 20k is out of the question.

^^ You think so.. I Know a guy that put down 750Rwhp on Stock 2Jz with turbo upgrade and emanage alone... Stock block etc... and trust me this was no half assed electrical taped up supra.. correct me if im wrong but im guessing he didnt spend 20k on an emanage and t-78...

I can build a car with that much power and twice as much torque as the supra made for under $10,000...

and how much tq does it make? like 67?

I doubt you could build a 500CID v-8 with turbochargers with the engine management system tuned for under 10,000. the turbos to support that power would cost you 4500 alone, engine management system will be at a minimum 1,000 plus dyno tuning. that leaves you 5,000 for your engine parts machine work and installation. Not to mention the know how of actually doing it and all the things to look out for when making that kind of power.

sorry, right now, im right until you prove me wrong.

To turbo an LT1.. hmm.. give me $2,500 for turbo and intercooler, engine management, ok - $700-ish.. forged pistons/crankshaft/rods - $2800, head work - $1,500 and i can do my own work, thanks. I honestly don't know where you got those numbers from.. btw the cid would be 355 in my case and would easily make over 1000hp..

mmmmmm i win. my 355 bolt ons and a mild LT4 hotcam and a good tune made 415whp.. this is a bolt on LT1 bored .30 over and a cam. dee deee deeeee domestics ftw

your missing too many pieces to the puzzle. you might have half the parts that are needed to complete that mission. wastegate(s), manifolds, collector, flanges, manifold and exhaust material, gaskets, silicon couplers, tbolt clamps, oil feed and return AN hoses so many things to take into consideration. which piston rings to use, bearing clearances and sizing them accordingly, different alloy exhaust valves.

at the least you would also have to find someone to make a quality turbo manifold that wont break and you can stick together the downpipe and intercooler piping if your feeling brave with your welder. I forgot to toss in fabrication & welding materials too.

remember this 3.4l 6 cylinder has alot less CID then your v-8. So matching your ~1000hp to something with alot less displacement is a skewed comparison. I belive you will find it alot more difficult to match the horsepower per cubic inch of displacement.
