ebay turbo

besides changing ur oil often, what could u do to save ur motor from blowing, i drive my shit hard and beat on it on a regular basis, if i had a rev limiter id be all over it 24/7 lmao

why?

changing oil, plugs, belts, coolant flushes, diff oil, tranny oil. regular check up on the water pump and dont be a retard and take your clutch fan off especially in sfl

stock SR gives you more than enough power you need to have and very reliable, ive driven across the country two times in a stock sr with not one single problem and by across the country i mean to like oregon to florida and back and we were towing a trailer with it!

why? cause i have a heavy foot and love being full lock with my foot thru the floorpan lol

how would changing the diff and tranny oil regularly save the motor from blowing?

id rather have a used garrett than a spanking new chinanetics.
and yes a stock sr is very reliable.
and btw i can make u a manifold for $400, and thats no log manifold either.

ps wtf would you spend close to $500 on a bov and wastegate for??

why not just buy a KADE and work with that one? more potential than a single cammer

than dont turbo a stock internal ka if thats the case you will blow it unless you lucky one
i have my ka-t and it my daily and i dont beat on it
if so you need to do the internals head gasket and studs
i would highly suggest you get a sr and beat on it and change your oil and drive with the sr no that case with most ka motor

i wanted something good ive heard really bad things about the ebay ones having boostleaks and so on, what would u reccomend thats cheaper?

imo they are just about the same shit, the dohc puts out only 15 more ponies not that big a difference http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nissan_KA_engine

whats the point of having a ka-t if you dont beat on it???? or any turbo
motor for that matter. If u baby it then leave it stock.

yeah i was saying if you beat the shit out of your ka then i would do internals first so you dont get any problems down the road

theres plenty of people down here that beat the shit out of the
ka's with stock internals. Red, Bert, Fink, HotKarl guy and myself are
all on stock internals and the motors take a beating.

well then good that makes me feel hell of better
with my ka-t and stock internals
and i did not know tom from hk had stock internals scott and pat and everbody else are running sr

look, ebay turbos really aren't that bad, the seals are usually the first to go. I've heard of people running Ebay turbos for 1 year before the seals took a dump. if you run a direct ebay turbo no balancing or anything it's either a hit or miss type deal, like pulling a turbo from a junkyard, either hit or miss.

if you want you can buy a ebay turbo and rebuild it with real garrett rebuild kit, just good as a band name. also, make sure you get it balanced if you rebuild it your self.
