Emmisions in Florida?

Not sure about the rest of florida but miami doesn't have emmisions testing anymore... your safe man... atleast down here you are.
 
no joke, stlftr1 jus got pulled over last night by a federal agent wanting to see his cat, threated to db check him and everything... btw this was in naples.... but the kid jus said his exhaust was falling off and it will be here on monday, so the fed let him go... so jus beware....

i too almost gota exhaust ticket but that was only cause i was caught ata ricer meet :eek:
 
I've gotten a few exhaust tickets, but this is a small place.....Im well know here in the Keys. The Supra has just a side pipe with a dynomax muffler on it. My brother runs his R6 around with a straight pipe half the time....never gets messed with.
 
I can vouch for the fact florida has no emissions...for over a year I had an acura vigor with a straight pipe to a resonator with a tip...and ask anyone on here that car was looooooooooooooooud as fk!
 
OK heres the deal bro there is no emission tests in Florida, but if you do get pulled over you must still retain a catalytic unless your car is a classic and didn't come with a Catalytic. This why most people gut out there catalytic converters so they get a straight through exhaust but cops won't hassle about not having a cat on the car. So as long as you don't have an exhaust thats louder than a nice sound system you'll be O.K. But seeing that you have an FD and are getting an FC also, You won't exactly be quiet huh.
 
Yeah, My car isn't the quietest but I think I'll be ok. What about inspections? In Jersey i have a mechanic that can pass me for $100 bucks. Is it like that in Fl?

lol your not getting the point. we dont have emissions so we dont get our cars checked... there is no trick to it.
 
Dead serious, just keep the pigs off your tail and your good. Besides they don't pull guys over in FD's they pull over guys in riced out 240sx's and civic's with fart can exhaust systems and ridiculous lighting.
I've never been pulled over for exhaust tone and thats because I know not to run a super-duper-straight-thru exhaust on the street. All you need is a decent exhaust pattern and a small resonator and you'll have a nice rumble without all the prrrraptt-bumpppyyyttatat-praaaap noises.

NJ mang, u will enjoy our lack of rules in the fl system of driving. speed limit pfft no such thing.. using turn signals AHAHAAHA never. no right on red my butt. ur gunna like it down here with ur car!
i used to live in paramus NJ and i remember goin to the inspections, my buddies that still live there tell me how they have a guy workin there that they pay to pass them.. lol , but down here keep a cat and ur all right!!!

Well, I got pulled over for a noise violation in my car and it's not even noisy. FD's get messed with too...friend got pulled over for his exhaust smoking and the cop also saw a flame (haha, rotaries...gotta love em).

So people know, there no more required emissions TESTING, but the state still has emissions laws and if a cop wants to be a douche and bust you, he can force you to get tests done.

Well you can't avoid a ticket when you got flames, plus DD cops know that 240sx's are the new civic. I'm sure they notice the amount they pull over has increased due to noobs, so that sucks just get a moped with a HKS T51R, they won't know what hit them. :D
