ok so what are you people using to manage your engines? i want to be able to control everything with just one this is that possible? like a/f, boost, timer, fuel, i mean everything i know one of the guys here that has an green s14, has like this ipod looking thing that is something to manage the motor in some way, but i dont know how, does it do all? anyways if you guys can help me try to learn something here, that would be great. thanks

Yeah.. You can also get a E-manage or safc2... But i recommend Power fc worth the money....

yeah i just like that power fc thing cause it does almost everything, only thing that i can tell it doesnt do is a turbo timer feature? other than that its just what i want! i dont want to have a comp for everything like a boost controler, and then another one for the fuel. well really thats the only 2 things that i have to worry about huh. i just found a e-manage ultimate for sale that is for the rb20. but this wont be as good as the power fc right? this just tell it what to do for fuel and thats it? it also has the presure sensor, and something else i dont know i guess if im going to be spending like 700+ dollars i might as well get the thing i want first time around. so any of you know of a power fc for rb20, for sale....thats cheap haha

The power fc doesnt have a boost controller built in... Emanage is a piggy back just like a safc i prefer a stand alone system....

well i read that its not built into it, but can be added to it and controled through that one interface controler. so what im looking for is just one thing to look at you know what i mean, just one control! haha thats what i want.

what are these mega squirt units. they are the same thing arent they. they are stand alone units. they are much more cheaper though? mmm i must further investigate.

Megasquirt requires you making your own harness, there aren't many people local that tune it either... Power FC is ok. But if you want a standalone AEM is the best one out that will plug right in without modification for the most part...

what is your take on the apexi neo . its been recomended by 2 shops. but i dont want to buy someting that i'm gonna replace further down the line

The apexi neo is good, but it's just a bandaide...Like I said the AEM is the best system (edit) for your needs and the simplicity of just plugging it in(edit). Oh and it can control boost, contrary to what Chuck posted...

That's what I originally stated look at my first post manny lol. I said "But if you want a standalone AEM is the best one out that will plug right in without modification for the most part..."

I don't see a point in puching him into motec, tec3, microtech or anything of the sort since it seems he hasn't made a harness before. And we both know how annoying making a harness can be.

Why do you want to control everything when you don't even know the first thing about tuning? Get a ROM tune and drive happy.

um well i want to just have everything controled by one unit to make things easy. and as for me not knowing anything, this is why i ask and i read around, im trying to learn. and as for the 300hp i dont know i just want something around there, so i have good power but not to much 300bhp would be fine, i dont want a whole lot of power but i want something that is good. and as for the rom tune what is that exactly, im not totaly sure, i will google it.
