ok... so basically when im driving... after car hits full temperature... the temp gauge goes nuts... like if im at 2600 rpm in 1st or 2nd just holding rpms there and moving slow the temp gauge will drop and go bouncing up and down. or when im driving and i shift gears in between shifts the gauge will go down the pop back up... do note that i do not have thermostat in the car.. this is just a question incase there is a diff prob tomorrow i will be putting thermostat in the car... so if its fixed i will delete this thread but just wonder what prob could before hand.
 
aftermarket temp gauge?? if so ur positive(+) or negative(-) connections are probably not good!
 
99% it's a faulty wire or connection somewhere. Most likely a loose CTS connector. Could be a faulty temp gauge but I doubt it. You could try a volt drop or ohm test to see if your harness is good, cause checking your harness by hand and eye can be a real pain in the ass.
