+1 I dislike most of my neighbors since i've had the County called on me for my cars. I learned if you keep it clean and quiet they wont have anything to complain about. think of it this way: if you plan to continue messing with cars like most of us you dont want your neighbors screwing you over the day you decide to pull an all nighter workin on the car or w.e . Also think of it this way imagine a Civic w/some E-bay muffler tip on and no other mods flying down your road at WOT that would piss me off, since their not into cars it all sounds the same.


moral of the story: Respect your neighbors, then expect respect from them.....:ugh:.. if that dont work get the bats and brass knuckles :bigthumbu ....u get the point!
 
Dude, my 86 is a rust bucket and loud, and I have never had anyone complain about it. And my car is rediculously loud. But if someone said my car was too loud, I'd try to work something out with them, like only running my car during the day, or some crap.
 
of all honesty: people can be three kinds of people. those who dont know shit about cars, hate loud obnoxious noises and those who are jealous. (there could be more but i'll not elaborate)

since your neighbor who complained about you drives a loud ass truck at 4 in the morning. call the cops for disturbing the peace. no one should be waking up at 4 in the morning if they dont have too. drive slower in your neighborhood if you cant really change your exhaust. i know nick tries doing that in my neighborhood since his exhaust shakes windows. talking is always the best bet. like when you have a party you go tell your neighbors about it so they will know it might get loud and you'll have lots of people over. if you have to fix the kinks in your car that require you to be loud, just go up to their door and tell them wussup.

and garage your car if the alarm pisses people off. i would be very pissed off if a car alarm kept going off and if it was obnoxiously loud at all hours of the day.

That's why I live out in a almost Booneys neighborhood with dirt roads. I've done so much shit outside my house, majing down the roads, revving loud ass cars at 2am, burnout out comps in my driveway etc. Noone has said anything cause the trees and distance between houses muffle the sounds.
