F**k eBay

Sean Love

.
So I am sitting here at almost 4am, with a list of things to sell on eBay because my financial situation is not the greatest at the moment. I have a ton of random things I dont need anyway.

But when I go to post the first item, I am told my seller account has been suspended because I have a DSR (detailed seller rating) of 4.1.

Here's a lil thing I found on another website about this bullshit:

"According to eBay, leaving a 4 for the description is "accurate", leaving a 4 for communication is "satisfied", leaving a 4 for shipping quickly is "quickly" and leaving a 4 for shipping/handling charges is "reasonable". Sound good to you? Well, not according to eBay. Starting November 1st 2008, all sellers with a lower than 4.3 DSR on ANY of the above categories will be suspended from eBay. So those sellers who have "Satisfied" customers, ship "quickly", describe their product "accurately" and have "reasonable" shipping & handling charges will no longer be able to sell to you, me or anyone else. So basically, giving any seller less than a 5 star rating can put that seller out of business."

GRRRRRRRR

eBay's message to me: Attention!

You are currently restricted from listing new items because your detailed seller ratings (DSRs) are below the minimum performance standard for sellers.

Sellers are required to maintain a rating of at least 4.1 on each DSR to sell on eBay. Sellers with one or more DSR below 4.1 will be restricted from listing until their DSRs improve. Additionally, sellers with one or more DSR below 4.3 may be subject to lowered standing in search results.

Although you won't be able to list items as long as your DSRs are below 4.1, you will still be able to complete any open transactions, access your account, bid or purchase items, and communicate with your trading partners.

Please note that sellers who are not in good standing are not allowed to register new accounts. Also, another existing eBay account cannot be used to avoid buying and selling restrictions or other policy consequences.

You can find more information on the Seller Non-Performance Policy page or the FAQ page. Find out more information on how to improve your DSRs on the Seller Feedback page.

HOW THE FUCK CAN MY DSR IMPROVE IF I CANT FUCKING LIST SHIT ON EBAY!?!?!?!?!?!?

^^eh-fucking-xactly lol...its pretty obvious that EBAY's "bad-seller" laws and shit are
fucking retarded.
And the douche bags that buy and then give u bad rating should 1st resolve the issue before fucking up ur account.
Maybe u can get one of ur homies to post ur parts for u using their account.
Its hard times brother...believe u me.
Im even thinking of selling my man sauce lol

DSRs are accurate within the last 30 days IIRC. So you have to wait 30 days until the bad scores are not held against you to bring up your score again. Or you can dispute with eBay why someone would give you a low score when you shouldn't have gotten it.

Bottom line is though, if you can't deliver a product you sell on eBay, or if you're not accurate about its description, I rather not buy from you.

Now, if people gave you that score when they had no reason to.... again... talk to eBay instead of wasting your time ranting on these forums. There are millions that make livings off eBay, I highly doubt they are "that" inconsiderate.

FYI, for DSRs to even start showing on your ratings, you need 10 transactions with people that scored you on the DSR scale. Meaning you got below 4.1 on not just one, but quite a few of those transactions.

Yeah I just heard about this 2 days ago, eBay is fucking up, they are just making it better for those guys that have 1000s of customers so that if they get a few 4s it doesn't faze them, but when you are a regular person selling something and you get one 4 you're fucked

::starts taking bets that Yahoo Auctions is gonna BLOW UP over here::

My DSR is only below 4.1 on ONE of the 4 criteria (description, communication, shipping time, shipping cost)

Up until this year I had 100% feedback on ebay, but feedback doesn't have shit to do with DSR.

You honestly sound like you're defending eBay. Go look on google, there are tons of people losing their home businesses because of this new DSR bullshit. I havent tried to sell anything on eBay for months, so I cant just wait for my 30day DSR's to roll into the 12 month. And I dont have any pending transactions, so I'm basically screwed.

I have to make a new eBay account which is now harder because eBay tracks what computers are used to access accounts with spyware bullshit and then I have to use all new accounts for hoosting pictures, different credit card, different bank account, new PayPal....

All of that takes time and money, which is the whole reason I want to sell shit on eBay right now.
