FDC Gainesville, do u want it to happen?????

i know someone who works at gville raceway (alexthegreat00 here on SFL) who's in constant contact with the owners/management of the track, and is trying to get somewhat regular events held at GIR, and not some anual TERTEC deal.... i might even join him in talking it out with the owners/management to see if we can get something rolling...

these desoto trips are getting $$$y, i don't mind paying, as i love drifting with you SFL guys, but it would be REALLY nice to have something in my area... and supposedly GIR has a REALLY nice surface, they just love their K-rails...

you think the desoto trip is fun try coming all the way down to ft lauderdale/miami area lol

i might just have to do that one day!!!

once i get my own trailer, and stop this uhaul BS, i'll be all over the place!

i need/want to get a a trailer like yours, shit would be on POINT son... although i've been considering getting a tandem axle, two car rig... not sure if my truck can tow all that though lol....

considering an open two car trailer thats empty, weighs more than a loaded single car trailer, pretty sure your truck couldnt do it.

BZ you haven't met SFL guys yet if you havent been past desoto, only a few came up to there, the majority of SFL drivers stay just in the area of West Palm or south of it.

yea jason is right. but im trying to be that few % that actually ventures out! i love our home town tracks but there are so many other tracks to learn on!

It costs $$$ but it helps sooo much to get out and go to as many events as possible. NBDT did the shit out of that stuff, and if I can quit wrecking into everything we're gonna do it again! Homestead and countyline will have FCs all up in their b-hole again.

yeah kinda figured as much... although i'm considering trading my step side for an older chevy quad cab diesel dually, that should pretty much take care of anything i throw at it.... something along these lines...

and box, yeah, i guess you're right, so let me rephrase, i enjoy drifting with all central FL people (except 90% of orlando people), and the few times i've drifted with SFL guys, i've always had fun...

Not moving to Texas so you guys can relax. Gainesvilles K-rails are owned by me not by the track if someone is using them I would like to know or if the track is using them for any venues?? So if someone has info on them let me know.

The earliest this event will happen is in February since everyone is broke after Christmas.

Talked to Don earlier, hadn't heard from Harri just yet. Don and I had talked previously about possibly adding a k-walled drift area in the pits to make Sunday Fundays more exciting. As of right now, it's just talk, but obviously the whole k-wall thing is between Don and Harri. I am totally cool with waiting til February for the next Ter-Tech event since that gives me some time to get my LS1 swap done :)

Also, Don told me today that February is filling up quickly, so I'm thinking March would be awesome - I should be caged by then too lol

i think we should get like a petition or whatever going for don, if enough people sign, and he sees there's money to be made, and that there's enough interest, he just might make it a regular deal...

i know a lot of people in Gainesville, Lake City, and Ocala are who want to learn/or know how to drift, but don't have the means, or a reliable enough car, to make trips to bradenton, jax, orlando... and i think it would be a good business venture for don...

that, and since there's not THAT many drivers in gainesville yet, there'll be a SHIT ton of seat time available

Haha no worries Marshall, a petition or a bunch of people badgering him won't be necessary. I've been working Don for almost 3 years now on the whole drifting thing, and he seems to finally be giving in to it. Don and Harri will have to work out the details behind the scenes, but we'll just have to wait til next year to find out if Sunday Funday's will have drifting. In the meantime, I'll keep bugging Don about it.

I just want to be able to beat the crap out of my car and not worry about a cop bustin my ass because i was trying to have fun. So anywhere that i can slide legally I am down. I can agree on getting more places to slide in the central florida area, or even just places to slide more often.

dont do em more than every 2 months or people will lose intrest.

Countyline is some kind of freak. I dont know how they always get so many cars.

cause its half the price of other events and is a short driving distance for most of the people here

its the location yea... sfl is the only 'concentrated' area in FL with drifters, the rest of us are sprinkled around the state.
