I talked to Don Robertson, the track operator of Gainesville Raceway, last Wednesday when I was working. He had no idea that anyone was attempting to set up another drifting event out there, but of course he's okay with it. I've been trying to talk him into letting us drift out on the road course for 2 years now with no luck :( but I hope this list fills up soon! C'mon people, commit!

I've drifted that road course back in the day (2007) when they had the test n tune for like 30$. Only rule was if you dropped a tire you got a strike.... 3 strikes = no more driving for you that day. They even counted rumble strips though, as 'off course'.

Me and MikeSpeed made it till 2pm haha, balla.

I had a broken cable = no ebrake. So a few turns are too narrow to clutch kick it. You can see Mike drifting it with MOH car- loud as sheit!

yea, no one has actually talking to Don yet. They don't want to actually set anything up until there are enough people interested. Once there is enough interest, plans will be made.

Drifting is dead...Scott Neener and I will be taking the Miatas to Gville next month for a open track day. Grip is in.

ty u are correct we dont want to set up a event if we dont have enough drivers. help spread the word guys and gals. i am stuck working three jobs. drifting in fl needs this event to happen.

I talked to Don again tonight. He really couldn't give me a solid price on how much just the "track rental" is by itself. Ter-Tech provided their own insurance, and Harri owns most of the K-walls they used to setup the previous event. So, if anyone besides Ter-Tech were interested in doing an event at Gainesville Raceway, they would have to rent the K-walls, set them up, bring their own insurance, and work out a contract with Don. The track rental does include EMT's, but overtime may be charged if the events run too long (like the last one). Sorry I couldn't get you a price, but this is the best answer I could get. I really hope Harri does another Gainesville event soon!
