So what are your thoughts about the event and how it was organized? I know of a lot of you had complaints regarding certain things, I sure did. Sound off on the things that annoyed you the most or aspects of the track that need to be improved upon.

For instance everyone practically had to stand in order to see the event. Not enough holes cut out for the media. And the event has made me hate barrels like never before.

Discuss.
 
Idk if they didn't expect the amount of people that came or something...but there was no way enough seats for everyone.

I wasn't Media but I couldn't help notice that the grandstand area was hell for media. You had to fight for a spot with fans and random people with a camera. I could only imagine what it was like during the top 16.

But, I had tons of fun and it was great seeing everyone. Can't wait for next year.

Yeah that definitely was hell. It came to a point where I gave up trying to get a shot from there and just focused on the areas where spectators couldn't get access to. Also there just wasn't enough areas to shoot from.
 
alot better driving than last year. better layout than last yeartoo
overall was good and was worth $32 for shure

Making drivers pay to sit in grand stands= fail. But that was PBIR, which is why they suck.

Some issues in the pro-am comp which should not have happen, and some of the pro drivers should grow up a-little.

But I had a blast in my first pro-am event and learned a lot. I' m looking forward to next year.
 
^^ SWD got that cleared up and then after a while the grandstand nazi's learned we could go in wth the hard cards. but at first they were CRAZY strict.

the grandstands were ok placement but the need more. should of had so me on the pit lane/standng area. why are there even non-grandstand tickets sold there was only one small spot to be outsde of the stands?

proam pits need to be farther away... i almost felt like we were part of the event :)
 
Things i liked: The layout but i think they should of forced drivers to go wide on the first turn, Judging seemed fair in pro-am, Tandems were great!

Things that needed to be changed: More seating, make all tickets grandstand tickets, better area for media, better pit and show layout(drivers shouldn't have too drive thru crowds of people), Clipping Points that don't move, Nate Hamilton's Car shouldn't of passed tech, Better Pro-Am Announcer(Guy was mumbling and I couldn't understand what he was saying)

Things I'd like to see next year: Pro-Am pit should of be in the front where the car show cars and other random cars were parked and car show by the drag staging area, some kind of over hang to shade people sitting in grandstands, More grandstands, More Pro-Am Practice(Time Attack is just not entertaining to me), Clipping Points that Don't move, Pro guys need to "Keep Drifting Fun" lol

pretty sure James Evans door bars are not legal either. didn't look at Dans to see if its the same.

Joe G's tow hooks were technically illegally far to long/sticking out from body work.

They need a wall to rub up against IMO not only the exit one . More seating for sure . Tickets to be by sections maybe . Grand stand section 1 would be by judges . Section two is next bleachers and so on
 
Pros
Layout was awesome

Cons
The seating was defintely not enough. Media guys should of had krails in the infield. Ticketing system was poor with all the printing confusion, not mention the needing to buy grandstand tickets even if you had the wrist band.

Overall event issues
Some of the judging calls were very poor. Friday night we had no sound in the grandstand next to the judging area. And one Falken driver in particular seemed like he had no regards for anyone's safety on the back sweeper when going to line up and nothing was done about it.
 
seating deff wasnt enough...i was in non grandstands...no space and crowded
judges calls were crappy..

Nate's hatch wasn't legal... battery out in the open, no firewall over the gas cap. Honestly, nothing that would have given him an advantage... just safety stuff.

I still can't believe that they ran Bill up against Rapper Dan in the final 4 accidentally. That was kind of crazy...

How was his hatch not legal?

Now correct me if im wrong but isnt there some give in the tech. Meaning that its okayish for it to run today but next event it has to be fixed or you dont run.
 
Also pro-am has less rules than pro. I think pro-am don't need fire suit ( just looked it up but I might be wrong) and no tire size rule . Didn't get Too into It after I read no fire suit I thought it might be wrong .
 
Tim was turned away at Atlanta for the firewall rule and an exhaust issue. I had to cover up some gaps in chris' firewall as well or they were going to turn us away in Atlanta.

Pro-am runs all personal safety gear including shoes/gloves/net or arm restraints and has tire size limits.
