i always uk my hands up when working on a car n i always say im gonna wear gloves but never do cuz there uncomfortable
 
Hopefully it wont happen again but if you ever get gauze stuck to your wound soak that shit in water for a few hours. The water will soften up the scab and the fabric making it easier to remove.
 
I droped my hood on my big toe it filled full of blood and the nail fell out. Now its growing back but the nail is really thick like tonymac said.

the thick area is usally the spot in where you hit the nail. it just thickens to prevent further injury.
