foam chassis stiffening

I have seen some people using a foam that hardens so stiffen up their chassis, what is that called exactly? sorry if this is a stupid question, I just dont know where to look for it

if its an open top car your doing it for(maybe your doing it for your project miata) i might try it, since open top cars lack the structural rigidity, otherwise not. or you can try to do what im doing and get steel square rods from lowes, weld them together to make a really cheap, really effective underbody brace.

I have read a lot about doing this. I heard(not confirmed) That moisture can get trapped in the areas that the foam was sprayed and the foam will retain moisture and thus rusting the hell out of your car. I honestly don't see any reason in doing it. If you want to stiffen the car up get a roll cage.

hey kyle i have the right shit to do it if you want to foam your car up. 30 bucks and its yours. it does work though i never did get around to doing it. not only will it improve the noise but it will provide some stiffing to the chassie. they use it on q45's from the factory.

Yeah the foam works if you get the right foam and inject it properly. I would like to do it too...maybe now that its in my head i will.

ehh, the car will have a cage in the car already along with a lot of other shit. i dont think i'll bother with it. thanks
