eauropean cars use "lugstuds" where the lugnut is the stud as well and it has to screw into the hub.....basically what this guy got fixes the problem of sucking at life... imagine putting a wheel on and you cant see the hole and you have to thread in a lugnut -.- ...

...in other words its a "stud kit" to add studs on to the hub to make it easier to replace wheels.

not only that...imagine having non-hubcentrical wheels where you have to float the rim and tire while you play lottery with the bmw screw-studs...FURTHERMORE, non-hubby wheel spacers and rims = suicide jajaja idk how rwdrift did it.

neways i finished sometime ago and had to clean up but for those bmw guys, these are 60mm studs (also come in 80mm), i tried on 2x 5mm spacers on on wheel and i still had a lot room to screw by hand so you could probably get away with up to 12-13mm of spacers before it becomes unsafe

o yah...this is what it looks like

awesome i gotta order them for the front. the rears are installed but i never installed the fronts. So 80mm is overkill.... I guess you only really need that when ur running a thick spacer or some 16 by 9's How much was it shipped like 50 bucks right?

when my dad bought his e24 somebody had done this kit... like a long time ago or something...

because most of the lug nuts are rusted shut on the stuts and the stuts unscrew from the hub when we take the wheels off.

so... i hope you put enough of that loctite on those things so they wont come out!!!

its like $60shipped. i bought two extra studs and nuts 'cuase yall know how things are. but yeah i dont understand why bmw does this? what's the advantage?! (for us...great business for bmw)

yo i got wheel studs too. am i cool now or some shit?
no 'cuase you drive a nissan :yermom:

Just to put a different spin on it....... in all the BMW's I've owned I never had a broken stud or wheel bolt, and even if it did happen, you just un-thread it and put a new one in. Simple. Plus you can have the hubs redrilled and run whatever wheels you want. 5x114.3, 5x112, etc just by unscrewing your studs and putting them in different holes....

^ thats an interesting idea.....

my fucking wheels are 5x130 and they suck. only porsche wheels fit porsches, or wheels designed for porsches. :(

maybe its possible to do a 5lug redrill on a 4lug hub but idk i tried drawing it out and atleast one of the holes will overlap and two situations where 2 of them overlap...got pics of this?

if you already have a 5lug then its no problem drillin a different pattern...or drilling a second 4lug pattern on a 4lug...but 4-5 idk i'll try googling some pics

^ Look at 4/5 lug universal wheels. The 4x100 and 5x100s. You are able to use one bolt for both patterns, and then the rest is different.
