Hey guys,
I know you all hate ovals but hey, its all we got. Bobby D is still trying to get some more drivers out and here is what the FastDrifters got goin on.
AT PORT CHAROLETTE Raceway
June 17th- Free Exihibition with pre-reg**
June 24h- Free Exhibition with pre-reg**
July 8th- Competition (cost pending)
**To PRE-REGISTER call Bobby at 813-817-7223.
Free means no cost to enter pits for ONE DRIVER and ONE CREW PERSON per drift car. Otherwise you can split up the 25$ per extra person (pits) or 15$ per person (G-stands only).
As far as I know, there will be atleast 1-3pm open for drifting on the free days, and some crowd time. Its not a ton of time set aside but when Bobby gets us larger amounts of time, no one shows up. If we show up the track time will most likely increase. If we can get a decent pre-register count we can bump up the time we get.
The competition info will be posted once we see turn-outs for the free-bees.
I know this is short notice for the 17th but I just found out myself so passing it along. I don't expect a huge turnout. I personally can't make this weekend. Let's try to get the 24th event off though, with no OSW for another month there's no reason not to check this free event out.
TRACK DETAILS:
There is NO flat sweeper area like at OSW however, the BANKING is much LESS SEVERE. The infield is shorter length with a WIDER CROSS in the middle (its a square instead of 2 roads only). I like this track alot and its is PERFECT for those who are wanting to get on the banks without having to conquer the OSW monsters.
Last time I was there NA KA's were getting sideways on the bank so anyone should have the power.
