fuhk brake clippies

the little metal clips on each side of the pads iv changed them twice now and spent easily half hour each corner any one else struggle like wtf

dude the first time i even looked at them i dropped the brake caliper on the floor and had to put it back together. its easy as hell bro just have patience.

dont run without the clips !there there for a reason eventually you will have a problem if you run the pad to low ......if your having an issue remove the wheel from the opposite side and compare ..then reinstall

there is a trick but i cant think of how to explain it without a video/pics...

put the clips in place. now instead of trying to get the 'top' or the 'bottom' of the pad in there and wedging it in... do this.

clips in place, put the outer diameter edge (farthest edge of pad from rotor center) in the clips. the pad is basically facing straight out from the rotor instead of against it at this point. that tall side will hold the clips in, and you simply rotate the pad flat and into place.

when setting the back in there you dont really put it 'all the way in' but enough that it holds the clips for you and allows you to rotate it. it takes like literally 5 seconds to do when u do it that way.

as for getting the calipers back in far enough so they fit around the new fat pads, if you dont know that part, search it up.

ive run my other cars no clips all around... no problems.
is not like pads last longer than 6 months anyways

DING DING DING! Definitely the only proper approach. I struggled for a good 20 minutes, dropped my pad a good amount of times, until I realized I could put it in there 90 degrees out then just rotate it in. Literally took 10 seconds once I realized how this went. I'll tell you what is significantly worse, today I was mounting up an s14 sr oil pick up to my s13 sr. The oil pick up brace is different than the s13 but there is a place to bolt up but reaching in, to place the bolt, without dropping it is an absolute nightmare. Ratchets don't fit and a 10m wrench barely fit, 40 minutes and 40 fucks and shits later I got it.
