My fuel pump fuse keeps blowing on me can't seem to figure out the problem I changed the clip part that goes to the fuel pump and the end part of the wire harness did nothing checkEd the wires along the side of the car it all looked intact but still blows. need help asap ppl thnx in advance

Still havnt figured it out so I ran a kill switch to the fuel pump it worked but the only problem is the wire starts to get hot after it's on for a lil is the wires too bigg or too small?? Or am I putting the power to all the wrong places? Any helpp at all is appreciated

or if wires r heating up
meaning power side
thet means ground side of circuit is failing
look inside tank at pump and see if gound is connected rite
i just fixed my homies 240 wit the same issue
after i rewired it..i didnt install pump and ground was failing and almost burned wat i did
making it look like my fault but when i checked it
it was the guy who installled pump
ground was loose and causeing mad resistance

I checked the ground on the fuel pump it's self in the tank it's fine actually I put that in not that long agobut checked it anyways. Then checked the ground right on top of it wer the fuel lines go it was a little loose I figured a way to make it work but still wires r getting hot

yur wires are to thin, i have my pump on a switch for a few months now np at all

I'm not sure wat number gauge wires they are but it's pretty thick. It's the same 1's I used to wire up my fans and it worked perfect but I'm gina still try to get thicker ones and see what happens.

Just hardwire it with a relay and an inline fuse and youll be fine. Thats what I did when I put my new pump in and no problems at all.

just make sure all your grounds are good and try the next size up for wire.. i have 12 gauge on mine and it's fine

Did get thicker wires and they did get hot but not crazy hot but then the harness for the car started smokin soo I disconnected everything cuz I dnt wana have a bigger problem on my hands

Wire it directly to the battery...

Probly think I'm a retard. Wire it directly from the fuel pump to the battery? With the switch correct?

You dont really need a switch if you dont mind it running when you turn the key to acc. All you need is a relay. Its really easy to do there are write-ups out there just search. I think i may even have a thread somewhere for it. Ill let you know if i find it.
