running on 45 minutes sleep, Swimming in stuff that I REALLY didnt need to be in, and my car is gone. Water was up to the top of my windows. The storm surge picked it up and put it on its side against a chain link fence. When the current receded, it finally let go of it, and put it back on its wheels. Water is still inside of my car. The engine was completely submerged. My windows were busted out from debris. And im pretty much sure that nothing can be saved. I am at a complete loss. I do not know what my house looks like. I have been at work since Sunday afternoon. Key West has no less than 3ft of storm surge. I have only what was in my car *which is all ruined* and what was on my back. I will keep in touch as much as I can, but dont plan on me being haround much. I have a life to rebuild. I hope everybody is safe, and ok.

My wife is in Quebec. I am very glad she wasnt here for this. I could use the support from you guys. I am in terrible spirits right now.

OHHH TJ thats horrible. I liked your car too... Dude I feel really bad man. hope everything works out ok for you... but i hate to ask the question... why didnt you leave??
 
damn that sucks!!!!!!!!! so bad!!! good to hear your alive...damn that sucks so much about the car...my car a tree fell on it and blew out the rear window, but thats what i hear from my dad when i talked to him on the phone...hope everyone is safe and stay in touch with the situation, here in michigan they dont play anything on the news about the storm!! i have to rely on internet updates and talking to my parents and friends down there!...hope all is well...
 
damn man sorry to hear that, its pretty fked up, hope you and zach are all right. and yea im sure the car can be repaired, just let the insurance know...
 
wishful thinking. Geico laughed at me. FEMA will be covering the bill. My car is gone, there is no way of repairing this.
 
wtf geico cant do that! thats what you pay there *** for! if I were you maybe I would let them know that your contacting a lawyer about it.
 
oh! damn well I hope your able to salvage some parts off of her for your next project.
 
Sucks to hear what happened to you. Knowing how precious my car is to me, I can only imagine what you are going through.

Best of luck down there in the Keys, I really am surprised people still live there during hurricane season. (Or at all for that matter)

its a differnt mindset down there, hurricanes are a normal thing and once you go through a few it kinda becomes negligable. but yeah wilma pwned the keys this time it was another george

TJ have you heard anything from zack?? I cant get ahold of him i think the cell phone towers are down..

I cant get ahold of him, but I talked to his sister. The house is ok and the cars are fine.
 
Sorry about the car. Man that **** sucks. I was up in the mountains of Tennessee when the storm came. Nothing like a little touge.
