and a set of cams

... it is ONE machined piece of metal = camSHAFT *waits for others to chime in*

ive always heard it as a camshaft (1) but i dont know shit about v8s, always looked gay and american in my eyes. who knows, ill suprise everyone

once again NO SHIT SHERLOCK!!! but you still need one camshaft for each side of the V. so if i got one on the left bank and one on the right you have wat? come on i know you can do this. 2 camshafts all together which mean you need a set of cams, not a cam because a cam is singular, cams is plural which means more than one

omg stop NOW u fucking retard

fucking moron, http://image.gmhightechperformance....ers_guide+golden_engine_service_ls2_block.jpg
take a good look ther is 1(ONE) cam in the valley of the motor it is not a modular motor wher it has ohc's, the big holes on the decks are for these things called pushrods lol
ay ok. didnt know the lt1s where set up in that way. so that is my fault. btw that was an ls2 block but i looked up lt1s and saw same config

Dumbass thought it had two camshafts.

every thing was right up until you said this... the pushrods will actually sit on those lifters and will run through holes in the head up to the rocker arms.:bigthumbu
