Going to an interview... need your opinions...

I have an interview for some Marketing place up in the NW section of Miami (I live in the SW section). Anyway, I have a Mohawk, and I REALLY need a job. This place is aimed towards students and what not. I forget the link, but it's called like "Vector Marketing" or something like that. Point is, should I cut it off before, or should I go and inform them that I will cut it off if they want me to, but would prefer to keep it?
 
If it's the same place I went to years ago - Vector Marketing is selling cutlery. If it's the same, it's basically a door to door sale's job, which means your appearance is everything. I'll let you make the decision based on that.

Only heard bad stuff about it because I ran into them when I was looking for a job through craigslist.

Apparently it works for *some* people but I wouldn't take my chances with them.

Keep the Mohawk and work for a music store, pub, skate shop, etc etc. Or shave it and look for something like marketing, office assistant, etc etc.

Yeah, it kinda seemed like a cheap type of deal.
I just can't find any place that needs work, and they deleted the job section! D:
But you gave me great ideas, haha. I'm gunna compile a list of music / skate shops and such around my area. Anyone wanna help? Heh.

Once they got past all the crap of business "training seminar for a multimillion dollar a year company" and all this garbage then told us what we would be actually doing, I left. They found my resume online and asked me to come in - my resume has always been geared toward some kind of computer / phone system position, when they told me we'd be selling knives, I said screw this.

Haha, I just called a store and asked them if they were hiring, and the girl seemed pretty cool. It was the one by Sunset Place.

dont work for them, i did in the summer and to tell u the truth if u arent a salesman then it wont be worth it. i think the only good thing about it was that you get paid weekly by mail. and with todays economy, i dont think anyone would want to buy expensive cutlery.
 
I wouldnt do it. A salesman job is very hard in this economy unless you know how to hustle. If not then I wouldnt go for it.

Yeah. I'm not gunna do it. I've decided to try to get a job as a Busboy, or waiter at local bars... and if not that, I'm going to apply at Zumies. I figure I can get hired there eventually.

P.S. What table do you have? My friend is saving up for one, and he's mad interested in what other people are using.
I actually just got a real old school Vinyl player. (Made in the 40's, has the original tube amp and everything. It's 3-speed, which surprised me.)
 
vector marketing is a POS scam. they make you buy a set to use as a demo for 500 bucks. or you can rent one from them for a nonrefundable fee of 150. either way, they get your money and with the economy the way it is, no one will be willing to buy a set for 400 to 500 bucks.

take your chances else where.

A REAL JOB WONT CHARGE YOU MONEY ....WILL PAY YOU MONEY!! lol ...also loose the mohawk if you want to find a job easier. employeers look for clean cuts, and shaved people :p...welcome to corporate america
 
don't do it man...that dude told me i'd be working with boomers doing marketing, and i ended up selling door-to door with some idiot in broward, got stranded, and when i got back to the office the dude had the nerve to tell me i didn't get the job, lmao. wonder if he still has the fat lip?
 
if your looking for a professional job you need to get rid of it.. if your looking for a whate ever job keep it. ive never met anyone in the Buisness world with a mohawk.
