Got a ticket for fishtailing down dirt roads, not sure what I can do...

Well I was pretty anxious to drive my car, I spent the last two days sitting in my car in the hot sun all day stripping it and at the end of the second day when I was done and just got the seats in I had to go test it out on my dirt roads around my neighborhood and see if I can feel the weight difference. Well I went down about a mile of just fishtailing and the road I do a 180 around to go fishtail back to my house I see a jacked up jeep at the end of the street start to fly twards me. I was like, eh, theres always some redneck messing with me out here or following me down the dirt roads or something. SO I fishtail all the way back to my house and go home and park the car. I turn the car off and get out. I close the door. Im outside my car and I see the jeep pull up and into my driveway and its a UNDERcover cop. Im like wow, awesome. Got a ticket for driving too fast for conditions. Thing is, on the ticket he doesnt say a speed or a price for this. And he didnt catch me in my car. Anything I can do?

I got a driving too fast for conditions ticket. I beat it. Get in touch with me so we can go over the details. Its easy if he didn't use any speed measuring device.
 
if he didn't put a speed you can bring that up in court. but if he didn't even catch you in the car and the keys were already out. he can not say you were the driver.but the cops will send the ticket to the cop who wrote it and will have him revise it since there is no speed on the ticket etc.
 
You need to chill lol, I will say you got the talent. The short amount of time you have been at it and your getting better quick. It's way cheaper to wait for events now that it seems we are getting a good amount of them. If you do slide have a buddy for a look out, for many reasons. The 2 major ones are for just overall safety, you'll have a buddy that can help or call for help. The next reason is to have some eyes looking out for you so you don't drift like a paraniod person. I need to see you kick ass on the track and just spend money on the car :bigthumbu .

Thats true, when I go down my roads I have to slide and in mid slide look down every road to see if I should book it or not. But Ive decided to not do it anymore here because 1 I cant afford it and 2 I really dont want to have someone jump out in front of me on the road and get hit. The ticket I think may be $120 bucks.... right there I could have spent on new bushings in the rear (that I despiratley need). Anthony, think I can spend less than that by fighting it?

that sucks....when i go slide by my self i always drive around the area first slow, just to check it out,then i hit it up an leave...but yea ticket clinic is ur best bet.
 
I called the ticket clinic and they said it will cost 90 dollars and they have no guarentees. Also, I may have to pay addition court fees.....eh.
 
Go to court plead your case.

take a a no contest plea, pay your fine, the points get dropped

call it a permit for doing fish tails down the road.
 
I dont think Im getting any points for it though. Thats what the officer said I think. But idk.
 
Shane, contact me. I beat this exact ticket. Start by PM'ing me the statute number he cited you in violation of.
 
I've used the ticket clinic 3 or 4 times with great results. They charge about $75 per ticket if a normal driving offense..
