grrr gas leak Help. sfl MAN!!!!!

hey dudes !!!

so ive been noticing this gas smell on my car in the mornings and such, but it usually is the gasket on the tank or the breather hose on the side of the car.
but i looked this weekend and there was a podle. like a big one. and i looked and i was leaking drops at a 1 every second.
so i put half a tank., and in one day i leaked it. wowo.......

i changed the send hose. and return hose. but still leaks.
the tank looks covered from all sides as if it was leaking sumwhere in the front of the tank towards the middle. but i cant find it!!!

can anyone help me cus i dont feel like droping the tank and stuff....

again any info is greatly apreciated.

PS the third line is a breather line rite? could that be it?

if its that, then u should see it leaking rite away as u put gas in rite? if you see the gas tank wet itself, u mite want to check and see for wholes, also check at different levels, like for example u know at half it leaks, try at 1/4 etc.
 
no i cant see the freeking leak. is coming from the middle front of the tank. like from the lines. and it mostly leaks in the morning when i turn it on it drips like alot. like i have to drive rite away.

i changed one line. but thats not it. i got the breather line and the send line to change tomorrow i hope thats it. cus is geting anoyin and dangerous. and no is not the hose or the breather hose on the side.

and i dont really want to drop the tank. ive never done it. and it dosnt seem hard but dirty so lol

i duno ima change the 2 remaining lines cus i can even notice the car runs leaner.... buuuu.....

i was just hoping one of you knew.
either way has to do with preasure cus if i drive it for a while it wont leak rite away. just after a while siting there.......
 
Try to Run it low on Gas park it at home and get a 5 or 10 Gallon bottle and fill it like that. Do not start it. If it leaks then it is the tank. If not start it and look under the car is so you know it is a line. It would be good if you jack up the car and clean the tank first.
 
I'm having the exact same problem. Let me know what happens.. I was just gonna buy a new tank for like $200 bucks :(
 
stick your hand down the side of the 1/4 panel where the gas door is at man lol on my car everytime i would turn a certain direction it would become very potent of gas and other times not so much but especially when making a turn and it was one of those hoses on the side going to the gas door
 
same crap is happening to me, but mine is only when i fill er up. could it be just a hose? this is the 1st time i have actually filled it up and it started spilling everywhere. it has kinda stopped leaking..
 
hey dudes well my prob was the sending line and the breather line,.

the preasure over nite from not breathing would make it leak really bad in the morning. so i uncloged the breather line .l
and i changed both the sending line and the return line. and bawm. fixd.


DAN= stop with the side hose. thats not it.

to the guy with the tank problem. do like z4k said. it sounds like ur tank.

and to the guy with the filling up problem. sounds like ur hose is really mest up.

jack the car up and take the wheel off. under the fender ull see a plastic shield .
take it off. and then inspect the main hose. also take a look at the skinnier hose next to it. thats the breather hose. ( not the breather line ) for the tank. if thats riped it will stink fuel when u go in a turn or drift like ""DAN"" said.

best way to check. jack it up. turn the ign on. for 10 sec.s for the psi to build then off. then run under and inspect the lines . try moving them gently to see if they leak.

and if u smell gass but dont see it,. then it may be a hole on the top of ur tank,. or ur breather line. or hose.
