dude
jack up car
take off the wheels.
FRONT - take off the 2 bolts that hold your shock to the spindle...
then take off the brake line..
then take off the 3 strut tower nuts...

the shock will fall ( do the same to the other side)

REARS... take off the one nut on the bottom of the shock
then take off the 2 bolts inside ur trunk. if ur a coupe its right under your backdecklid...
let that fall down and wiggle it out...
repeat to the other one

now to take off the SPRINGS... u need a spring compressor.. go rent on from pepboys or discount.

u compress the spring with it once it has removed the load and the tension u can take the nut off the top of strut tower inside it. once it gets to the point of coming off.. it will most likely POP.. just watch ur eyes and hands and keep the strut on the ground so the spring will not fly up and kill u!

repeat for all shocks..

then reverse..

and reverse to install..

Yeah, make sure when you remove that top center nut, even with the compressors on, be sure that the spring and everything is pointed AWAY from you and anyone else. put it on the ground and use your foot to hold onto it while you untighten the nut.

Will you be using stock shocks with these H&Rs?

yes, for now, stock struts..

once i swap in the SR in the summer, im going with coilovers, so these springs are temporary.. unless there are struts that along with these springs would make a great combo for a drift contender..

lol i was thinking of how to do it, because i went to like 3 diff. places and they said because of danger possibilities and simply a pain in the ass, they charge like $200-$300 LABOR ONLY. i was like uhm no thanks ill do it myself and hope i dont die. lol thanks for the tips

200 - 300 BUCKS. WTF. I NSTALLED MY TEIN SPRINGS IN LIKE 2-3 HOURS. ALL I PAID WAS FOR THE SPRINGS. ONE THING ABOUT INSTALLING SPRINGS ON STOCK SHOCK. DONT TRY TO LOWER YOUR CAR TOO MUCH ON STOCK SHOCKS BECAUSE THEY WILL BLOW AND THEN YOU'LL BE BOUNCING ALL OVER THE PLACE. I SUGGEST YOU FIND SOME GOOK SHOCK AND THEN DO ALL THE WORK.

id say the same shit for u to buy my shocks lol but on da real theyl blow soon stock shocks and springs usually a classic no no

yea if i were you i MAY just wait till you ge some coilovers or some newer struts. since you said 'summer' its not that long is it, a month? id rather wait than ride around on blown struts, then youre stuck replacing them ANYWAY, or youre in for an annoying ride
