ok so ive never done a headgasket before...anyone have any tips or tutorials/ anything??

it seems overwhelming i dont know where to start

I'm guessing an 87 MR2, but I could be wrong

My friend has the same car and has to do the same thing.
 
yea 87 MR2....how much would it cost/where could i go to get the headwork done?

would i need to get arp studs or can i reuse the bolts?
 
yo van why dont you call me ill help you out doggy wut i suggest we do is get the head off the car in the junk yard get the rebuild kit coms out to like 300 bucks cus i would hate to shave your head put all the new gaskets and then blow out a piston ring and have to do it all over agen then we dicide if you ever want to go turbo or rase up you compression and go NA and we do wut we got to do based on that cus

i would suggest new head studds its so pritty when you start with new parts it goes to geather easer
 
ahh but i dont wanna start dumping money into this engine...if im gonna do all that might as well just buy a jdm one for like $500
