Hello from kyrgyzstan

Yeah Kadena's bomb dump is fucking huge, I think its in the top 3 of the largest in the armed forces. I mean you can literally get lost in it, its like almost an 8th of the island itself.

the bomb dump at shaw I work in is one of the smallest lol we dont have shit.

Hey man I didnt mean to be a dick about "the get one my guys killed thing", and this can clarify for the Non-military personel reading this thread. What I was getting at was people need to be in the right state of mind to be going out to the front. Being on patrol is scary and if anyone thinks its not then they are full of shit. To this day I still get a lil freaked out bein in crowded places...i.e. Sawgrass Mills...Im not crazy its jus...walkin a Bazar in Iraq, u dont know who lurks or whats waiting for you around the corner. So pretty much you are aware of your surroundings...and Ill stop there cause Ill be on here typing a lot. But hey man I love Air Bases. Hottest chicks, good living...I wish the Marines would step up thier living standards...lol..we live in some shitty places.

^ You gotta see Yokota if you havent already. You need a bus to get to the other half of the base.

yeah thats where I was shooting for my follow-on to be after I go to korea for a year after I come back to states from this shit hole. But I got ramstein germany instead, Hey no complaining there Im really excited to go but yokota was my first choice.

I was tryin to leave Oki and go to Iwakuni or Fuji. but jus didnt fall through. I have to go to NC now then off to Afghan. Hopefully after 2 more years I can go to Mainland as a Sgt.

Well there is always Misawa because that is a joint base with Navy, Army, AF, and Marines. If it came down to that choice, I would suggest packing cold weather gear and a surfboard for the summer.
