Does anyone know where i can buy a good helmet online? Im new to the whole helmet thing. Does it have to be a specific type for events? Any good name brands? Plz keep comfort in mind. Any help/links would be great. :bigthumbu

put it this way.......how much do u value your life??? dont cheap out oon helmets....trust me i know from my motorcycle accident it pays to buy the good stuff!!!! after i was ran over and stuck under a jetta the firefighters tried lifting the car off of me using the jaws of life and some wood blocks.....needless to say the jaws of life slipped n the car fell back down on my head and cracked my helmet but my head was fine....ya get what ya pay for !!!

www.racerwholesale.com they have a gf seris thats open face for 150. Its snell approved and sa2000 so you can use it @ any race track in the usa. Thats the best option out there trust me ive researchd.

correct me if I'm wrong but arent you required to have updated SA helmets, if you dont tracks wont let you use them. The latest is SA2005. I believe they get updated every 3-5 yrs

My nicest helmet i own Suomy Spec1 R is not Snell approved. its BSA approved. which allows it to be lighter.

Bike helmets never get snell approval b/c they are not fire resistant. They do get DOT approvals which is all you really need for most drift events.

yes buy a really good one if your riding a bike cuz it could and most likely will save your life, but if your just getting one for a event just get the walmart special.
