help, 17" touring z wheels question

front: 17 x 7.5 +30mm 225/50/17

rear: 17 x 8.0 +33mm 235/50/17

ive been searching and i was wondering if it would be better to use 40 series tires instead of 50?

and also what would be the best 40 series tire to use?

better in what way? if you have the ability to adjust ride height, mess around with a 40 series, personally less tire visible is better, but thats aesthetically. but i run 205 40's on a 9 inch wheel.
