i would bring a heat gun and a some spray paint to keep the chipping down and to recover what did chip

ok so i tried the hammer and screw driver method.... fail the lock ring wont budge even afte i let them soak in wd40.....

your hitting it the right way correct??. must spin counter clock. or use a bigger hammer. if that wont loosen them theres no way your doing it with the spanner wrenches.
