help!gas problem...

ok so i just got my hands on my 240 sx (s13), and lately its been running alright. But now its like the car is guzzling gas and i dont know why, i put 6 gallons of gas on friday morning, and now my car is on E.

i know that s13's hold 15.7 gallons of gas but i think my injection system needs to be cleaned out. The car has had a tune up recently, new spark plugs, new radiator, oil change, but this gas thing is bugging me, suggestions? help? thanks
 
the idle seems normal, but rarely when i start the car it would start up, die, and then id have to restart the car, and give it some gas. stupid question but would it help if i put premium gas?
 
premium gas always helps.. but i dont think its gonna help this problem.. i'd start with the basics. make sure the whole fuel system is good.. and check your plugs.. and check your timing. and it wouldnt hurt to replace the o2 sensor on your headers and the coolant temp sensor....

exactly what happend to my 1990 240sx hatch when i first got it. 2 times it happend in the morning but never happend again.

its not blowing black smoke but the problem with the car dying occassionally is becoming more frequent, stupid question but could this have anything to do with me not having enough gas in the car? sumtimes i have no choice but to drive the car when its on E or a little past E
