Hey Fellow SC enthusiasts listen I need your help finding a 2jz mechanic specialist in Miami, FL for my SC I've tried everything the other mechanics have told me but the car is still running like ****, 1st its miss firing like crazy in the low RPMs, then it runs super rich that the gas fumes burns your eyes, & finally it leaks oil like crazy but when it wants WTF! Please if you know of any 2jz specialists in Miami, FL or close to Miami PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE let me know, thank you I really appreciate it.

Sure what ever might work I just wanna fix this problem its really pissing me off, I can only meet up Friday & Saturday when is it good for you?

Any general mechanic can help you out to be honest a motor is a just a motor nothing crazy.

Try checking general stuff?

Check plugs/cap/rotor, make sure intake pipe is secured well, make sure maf is working properly (Unplug it, see if it changes how the car runs, then plug it back in as a quick dummy check)

Look over the harness, make sure all the plugs are secure/clicked in place, sometimes older harnesses will deteriorate and the clips will break/come undone, and if its more important shit (injectors, iac, maf) the car will run like shit.

Oil leak, if its sporadic that is real odd.. 2Js for the most part are known to always leak through the front main seal if anywhere... Check down on the crank pulley, see if it looks like its been throwing oil around from behind it and if theres fresh oil dripping from under it...

I have taken it to 3 other mechanics they even hooked up the OBD1 & nothing but if you know of a general mechanic that's good let me know please.

I already changed the cap, rotor, spark plugs & wires & nothing so far. I'll try the rest 2morrow.

isnt the 2j coilpack per plug?
if so and no codes r cummin up u need to check the coil paks for reststance..that can cause misfire...
and the running rich sounds like a boost leak...
the leaking oil sounds crazy....
and like bigabe said its just a motor....a smart mechanic should be able to get it..
if they cant then either they dont really care or dont understand...
to me its a challenge i wouldnt bak down from....

2JZGE non vvti motors use a distributor and spark plug wires. Try bypassing your fuel pump ecu. There's a write up on club Lexus. It's located behind your driver side rear interior panel. It could also be a bad ecu which seems to be a common issue. See if you can try someones known working ecu.

Have you ever changed your fuel filter or fuel pump?

Where is it leaking oil from?

Have you checked the timing?

Make sure where the spark plug wires go into the motor aren't full of water.. the area in the middle of the head between the valve cover's.. I've seen that a lot of time with the misfiring... and like the other guy said check the fuel pump ecu you can bypass it on the plug with a little piece of wire.. its pretty easy to figure it out with a test light or a power probe.
