Help tuning S13 KA-T Nistune

Does anyone have experience tuning, or know anyone who can help?

I'm running 2,200cc ID2000 injectors, and I'm having a hard time even getting the car to idle. I'm going to try a few more things before I take the plunge and drive 3 hours to get some E85 since it's easier to tune for with such large injectors.

I'm in zip 34452, so anyone near there would be great. I have been wanting to drive down to Tampa and have Martin/Enthalpy tune my car but I want a half ass tune to start with.

Any help is much appreciated.
 
i tuned my own nistune and drove it around for months with no issues...

under boost it was a steady 11.6-12.0 AFR, cruising was right at 15.0, and idle was pegged out lean...

ran like a raped ape, then i took it to Martin to have him polish it up, ended up making 260whp @ 7psi on a "stock" S13 SR...

i can prob swing through and get it running good enough for daily, and a trip to Tampa to see martin, copensate with gas money and beer or bud and i'll help.

i even installed the board myself...

Looks boss man. I have wires and crap all over the place in my car. My laptop sucks, and is pretty damn slow.
I'm over in Inverness, zip is 34452.
I'm definitely down to throw you some gas money, and beer is always available and COLD here at my house.
I'll PM you my number and you can text or call when you get some free time. I'm available most all the time; I just have my daughter for the summer.

Any other thoughts or recommendations in the mean time? I grasp the concept of tuning, but apparently I cannot implement it LoL
 
you have a wideband right?

pretty much watch that, and the k values and constants, use the injector resizer for the injectors, and mess with the latencies as needed...

i'll hit you up tomorrow, and see about getting out there sometimes early this week, i'll walk you through it, NIStune is extremely user friendly for initial set up, but like anything, you'll want to fine tune it on the dyno.
 
lol, not looking for much, mostly just to help out a fellow enthusiast...


i'll have to check the NIStune site, last i checked they were working on a anti-lag/2step/launch control into one of the next updates... might be able to get that set up if the ever managed it.

Yeah, I have a wideband. It's hooked up through the Serial/USB gimimck and shows on Nistune. It's finicky, but it works. Had a hell of a time with that.... fml

2-step would be sweet. I have a few tunes that have it, but that was back when I was ROM tuning and the address's were opened up, not like in Nistune. I would like to have it back; especially since I have a monster turbo now...

Thanks for the help. HOpefully we can get this thing knocked out, and I can hit some of the IR's up in Gainesville, and also some events down south.
 
So I'm still fighting to get this thing tuned. BlackZenki ran into some problems and couldn't make it.

I took it out on the town last night, and it ran like poop. I got pissed and mashed the throttle and it ran pretty good. So I don't know what's up with it.
 
why not try a dual injector setup where the 2200's kick in when boost kicks in and the smaller injectors basically work at idle and when youre not in boost. like you said e-85 is gonna be alot easier to get to idle with those big ass injectors

Those injectors should idle fine alot of people are running them and have good idle
