help with motor swap

im having trouble putting in my motor and tranny into my s14. im putting them in at the same time and the motor mounds don't line up .i left the mounts in the car and just took of the bolts.any one have any ideas ? :bigthumbu

remove the motor mounts off th car and bolt them on the motor then put the motor in

My engine.. i have an s14 with a blacktop s14.. i had to drill one of the holes where the mounts meet the engine cuz it would not go in. try taking them out of the car and see, ive also heard of swapping the left one to the right side and vice versa.. hope this helps

damn you are all n00bs lol..

put the motor mounts on the engine, get the tranny and engine into the car, get a jack and put it under the transmission and jack it up, lines up perfectly everytime if you have the tranny lined up in the transmission tunnel (or atleast close to lined up)

and if still doesnt line up, get a nice long pole (ex.fence post) and wedge it between the headers and engine bay to move it left and right
