so i was talking to my dad which knows alot about cars but hes old school.
i just bought my 95 s14 with a 97 ka in it, and i started doing all the fluids just to prevent any problems.

ok so what im not sure about is that my dad said that we should drain all the engine oil and put diesel motor oil in it. turn the car on for about 2 to 3 mins and the diesel motor oil will clean everything out on the inside of the engine. then drain it out realllllyyy good.

sounds a little iiffyyy back yard Brazilian auto work to me.

what do you guys think about that??

(lemme just add its not my idea, and im not really considering it, i just wanna know for all you smart asses out there)
 
idk about that but what is good is put a qt of atf befor draining run for 10 min and drain the oil and put fresh oil it is really good
 
u could also use seafoam, just put 1/3 of the bottle in ur oil and let it run for 5 min, the drain and refill with ur choice of oi, then with the rest of the bottle put another 1/3 in ur gas tank and the last 1/3 through a vacuum line
 
if you want to clean out the deposits in your engine than use a high detergent oil. as far as i am aware diesel, atf, regular & synthetic oil all have similar detergent properties. so what i suggest is buy an engine flush product which are sold at many auto parts stores. also like alibaba suggests seafoam will work too.

i would seafoam it, then what i do is run 3 1/4 reg oil and 3/4 quart marvel mystery oil
 
seafoam will clear everything out man, car will smoke like crazy, proves your cleanin it out. and the brake booster line is apparently the best line to do the vacuum with, just let it suck it up slow, or else your motor will stall, and thats not good
 
sounds good. never heard of seafoam but i did just do some research on it and it seems like the best solution right now.. after than i was planning on using redline oil for my engine tranny and diff.

Any pos or neg on redline performance oil?

2 scoops run for 5 mins drain out, add fresh oil!

fuckn engine will run like 0 miles, why u ask? because billy fuckn mays says so!
 
if you really love your car then you'd get amsoil.
if you like your car mobile 1 or royal purple synthetic of course.
and purolator for filter. just my personal preference.

Its a fucking KA. GO to Advanced Autoparts, buy their cheap 20w50 oil and a cheap filter.
Thats what I ran on my SR the whole time I had it.
 
imo oil is oil, fuck the brand and fuck the price, i use whats cheap and 10-40w is wher its at! fram tough guard filter has 96%single pass efficiency and 99% multipass effeciency, and the key to keeping ur shit alive is to change the oil often!
