^^ true but the guy is a grown ass man u cant make him do anything he doesnt want to. so he is also at fault. personally if i was driving that supra, i would have told him to put it on or get the fuck out cuz i know i would speed in that shit

Exactly! If your a passenger in my car, wear your seatbelt or gtfo! Ive stopped my car on the side of the road and told my own girlfriend to put her seatbelt on or gtfo!
 
both first generation and second gen airbag systems only deploy in frontal collisions unless your equipped with side impact systems this case nick (DK) drifted backwards directly into that tree. so there is no need for airbag deployment the reason the car folded up like that is first its a targa like all targas of the late 90s they werent very rigid and second if you look closley it had the original qtr panels cut off and replaced with fiberglass wide qtrs .so they could fit the huge wheels that definetly ruined the structural integrity. what a dork......hogan now has a viper to hit k rails with .

I disagree, the quarter panels are not doing much of anything for rigidity of a car.
 
you guys blame nick like the other guy didn't have anything to do with the accident...its sad man i'd do 1year hapily if it gets me off something like that i can't imagine what it is to see your kid walking around one day and the next moment he's in a crushed car 'cuase for one moment he decided to do a stupid thing. i'm not going to judge or blame just recognize the situation sucks for both sides....nick must feel like crap for doing that to his friend.
 
complete fail on nicks part, should be in jail or in some serious troble. anyone know if his drifting licences is still revoked? and air bags only deploy in frontal collisons people what good would they do if you got rear ended?... targa top fail too... thats what happens when you loose half your roof. and dont be crazy shane the entire shell of a unibody car like that helps to keep these cars rigid.

everybody makes mistakes bro. yeah nick was stupid, everybody does stupid shit and it will always have consequences. its over and done with now nick served his time(still is i think) so whatever. as for his friend my heart goes out to him and his family but again he made that choice not to wear his seatbelt so too bad.
