Hood scoop?

I have a S13 with sr and is getting to hot in the exhaust manifold area(break mc), Ideas to keep it cool? no ricer or getto looking just some thing functional. sp:confused:

Im not in a budged for a seibon or c-west.
 
you could always try some hood spacers, they drop about 6 degrees in your engine bay. it just pops the back of the hood to let the excessive hot air out, try it; gives it that jdm look. Look it up.
 
do the hood spacers and maybe try making your own by cutting into your hood but a SCOOP is gun like ricer ass HAUCK
 
the biggest problem with hood spacers is ppl dont remove the weather strip on the back of the hood, making the proped up hood practically uselesss
