I lookin in to gettin an sr20 for my 240 but how much would it cost to swap one into my car? Around how much would it be an if you can give me some places to call for one thanks :confused:
 
save ur $$$ do it urself... pay for wiring only or do that urself also... there is sooo much out there now for this swap that you could literally do EVERYTHING yourself no custom work all bolt on..

very close.. depending on how much u shop around and what kind of connections you have... also the quality of the parts you buy. But yes 5g's is a generous ballpark figure it could be done for less..

this is true, but if you are like i was, didnt know enough to swap a motor when i had it done + had no place to do it...you may have to fork the $$ over to someone else...

i went to Drag International, over all they did a good job. my complaints are that he never hooked up my ac(he didnt charge me for it, but never got around to it), and never installed the walbro fuel pump he was supposed to. other than that the motor and all the work he did is running strong nearly a year later.

i paid $5500 for the motor/frontmount/bov/exhaust/complete swap.

if i was to have a swap done now, i would go to Ruff Racing, they have been doing all the work on my car lately, i dont know how much they would charge for the swap, but it will probably be cheaper than Drag.

beware of ebay engines is all i have to say...

if you get a motor and all the parts you need, I'll swap it in for you and do the wiring, 1000.00$ I do good work with very fast turn around time.
 
^ I'll vouch for Dan's work. Hitnrun Garage has some great work at a very reasonable price!
 
I say about 4k in parts/engine... I spent 5k but I bought other crap like wheels and sideskirts to soo... that does not really count.

Enjuku is great to deal with to get the engine! best customer service evar! $2300 for a Redtop same price as Drag International.

I can do your wiring harness for $75..

guys like this is where you will find the best deals, and they usually know as much as any mechanic at any shop. ive seen threads of these guys swap motors and they seem like they can do a simple sr swap with 0 problems...

the main thing is to get the engine local, so shipping doesnt rape you and if there is a problem you have no problem getting in contact with who sold it to you. i would recommend Drag International, or Enjuku, like Kenrik said.
