the two bolts that i took out from the strut, i cant get em back in unless i can compress the suspension

i tryed using something like this
mump_0007_06_z+front_suspension_upgrade+spring_compressor.jpg

but theres not enough room up top, kinda hard to explain

im guessing theres an easyer way to do this, because how the hell does everybody install their coilovers, or new struts and springs without all these problems

yes im retarded, we can skip that part, but does anybody know how to be able to re connect the knuckle to the strut?

from what i see is that youre supporting the lower control arm. take the tie rod end out of the knuckle, let the control arm sit as low as possible, but the strut in in its correct position up top, then bolt the knuckle / lca up to the strut and connect the tie rod. its pretty simple

yeah, but i dont have the tool to get the tie rod out, and i cant pull the knuckle off the controll arm either

i tryed hammering the tie rod out... big mistake

now the starting thead is damgaged, and i cant get the castle nut back on the tie rod... so im double fucked

remove the sway bar...it will drop right down for you...seriously...

Take the sway bar bolt off of that side...the LCA will drop right down and you can put the shock in place. Then put a jack under the LCA and jack it up until the sway bar is in place. The sway bar has tension and that is what is preventing it from moving down into place.

there is NO NEED AT ALL to remove anything other than the bolt for the sway bar on that side.

are u fuckn serious!! anthony what did i tell u? stop maken urself look like an idiot, pick up the phone and call me!! 954 675 3213!!

THANK YOU SLIDEWAYZ!!! it worked easy as cake

now i cant figure out how to put the fucking caliper back over the rotor with the new pad

lmao!!!!!!!!!!! ur kidding right??? come on bro, compres the piston all the way back in to the caliper, use the old pad and a large c-clamp or if ur beef-cake a old brake pad and huge rib-joints!!

if i used the old pad then wouldnt i not have room for the new pad?

or once its compressed does it not come back out untill i use the car and brakes

lmao!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! u use the old pad just to compress the piston in. then remove the old pad and install the new ones.

i swear this is like talking to a 5 year old.

kid u need to look into going to automotive school just to open ur mind. ur a square(no offense) u trying todo some more then basic work on ur car with no clue. ur either gonna hurt yourself or casuse extreme unnessary damage to ur car.

1. Loosen lug nuts
2. Jack up car and place jack stands
3. remove wheel
4. unbolt the two bolts on the caliper, it should be a 12mm
5. remove caliper
6. remove brake pads
7. open up the brake mc fluid reservoir
8. compress the caliper with a c-clamp, you do this by putting one of the used brake pad on the circle part in the caliper and press it in all the way
9. insert new brake pads on brackets
10. replace caliper on bracket and bolt it
11. replace wheel
12. bolt wheel back on using the criss-cross-applesauce technique
bolt in this order
. 1
.3 4
. 2
13. brake in brakes by driving 30 mph and braking 30 times

once you change your brakes you will level up and learn the new skill "change brake pads"

YOU NEED TO GO OUT AND BUY A SERVICE MANUAL FOR YOUR CAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

lol thanks, i need bigger c clamps then the one i have so i gotta go pick those up

and nobody is born knowing everything bro
you say its common sense
i could go around my school and ask every 16 year old and maybe 8% of the kids know how to change brake pads

better yet go to a grocery store and ask adults and maybe some of the men will know how

mostly everyone gets there car serviced by sombody else

thats why i suggested getting a service manual for ur car, it tells u step by step how todo basic sevrive and even indepth work to ur car!!!! so u dont have to ask all the silly questions here!
