i was just going to pop out the dent in my rear quarter panel but since its been creased its gonna take alot of bondo to do the job, so im just gonna reskin it. I have never done this before and i would like to know if any of you have and how do you do it

i wont be doing the welding part cuz i have a buddy who can do that and i can do the bondo job. and i figure instead of the whole thing i ll just do what messed up. is only about a third of it messed up. just around the fuel door

i say just put on rear over fenders. like 20mm ones....
it will look way better, and ill be way easier.....

how much do those cost roughly. it may look horrible with the stock se rim offset but itll be a start and allow me more time on the windshield frame

so i was looking through and i saw that enjuku sells them for 289 not cheap and do those just go on top or do you have to cut and weld

they can go over, or you can cut out the old ones.

have you tired to hammer the dent out from the inside a bit. even if it still looks messed up it wont lok as bad. also if you cut out the rear quarter you can just drill out the spotwelds. they selll a drill bit for that. post pics of the damage so we can get a better idea on how bad it is.

ok heres the damage but its hard to see with all the bondo.

honestly just get over fenders. save you time and troube just looking at the lil bit of the crease thats stuill showing i can kinda tel;l how much bondo your talking about.

well seeing as i can really afford over fenders thats not gonna happen. what i was thinking was to go to the junkyard and cut the section i need, weld it on top and throw some bondo on the welds to smoothen it out. you think thats a good idea?

If its your first time, no I wouldnt suggest it.

well i wont be doing the the welding. i know a really good welder who is also gonna weld in a new piece for the rust hole in my hatch ( very small hole thing is no big than 2 in x 1in that will be replaced) and ill be doing the bondo myself. and yes i have worked with bondo before.
