You could potentially fit a 20" wide wheel under your fender if you wanted, its all about the offset and fender work. You're rubbing on the inside or the outside?

Any size over 8 inches with a negative offset is going to require at least rolled fenders, with offsets that neg. You'll need flares. Either way -70 is going to look mexi, no matter what you do. Why not get a wider rim, with an offset closer to zero?
