mines all fucked up.. also just got an aluminum rad. so instead of trying to fix it ..how will it run without the shroud? it will be temporary till i get efans.will temp will rise a bit above normal? or not cool at all?

Hit up David (sideways88) think he was selling altima fans for 40 Bucks. Or junk yards have em for 55. Shouldn't be a problem but the shroud is designed to protect the fan so without it the fan is vulnerable to damage.

hey roly, come shoot a couple pics of my car and ill give you a couple s14 fans for free

^Alex taking my sig quote and shit lol. My friend dailys his 240 with no shroud for months now on stock rad and clutch fan. Hes straight.

It will run with no problem, but yea it's better to have one. Some people say it runs better than having a flex-a-lite.

hey thanks alot guys.... ill just run it like that..if anything changes ill update lol

haha ill let you know.

so with the stock rad the temp needle was about a hair or two under the middle. now with this one it takes a while for it to warm up..i understand its possibly cuz its thicker and what not. now while driving it will go down about 1 stick in the temp scale.. basically the car is acting like i have no thermostat..which i do...so is it normal for this to happen? especially so fast. like ill get to a light needle goes up drive and cools down fast as fuck.

it will naturally run much cooler now because of the radiator, but because of the lack of fan shroud, it will warm up at lights.

ps: are you sure you have a t-stat?

well no doubt your cooling efficiency has gone way up with the new rad. i'd look into a new thermostat if its not closing enough to keep it warm.

That's why i told u that if u get on lot of traffic,ur car may be get hot,not all the way,but more than normal, that happened on my sr

I have a brand new thermostat from advance with the new rad and fans it stays really low on the temp gauge

just for my own curiosity, was the new rad aftermarket or oem? but for the purposes of his issue, did your temp gauge also fluctuate in stop and go driving?
