I have a 5speed swap question.

I bought my 91 240 and it was swapped to a 5 speed. The guy that owned it for some reason didn't hook up the speedo or reverse lights. Can somebody shed some light on where I should start checking to hook this stuff up. Oh and 1 other question he also didn't put in a 5speed ECU should I pick one up.
 
you dont need a 5spd ecu, with the auto ecu you have no speed cut at 112mph.

speedometer problem is the speed sensor most likely isn't hooked up, its the last plug on the passenger side of the transmission, usually ends up on the other side of the tranny hanging by the top after a swap, or it just isn't there, or it might just not work if it is hooked up (other end of connector is up by the alternator)

Reverse lights, are down on the tranny also. Don't remember off the top which one it is, might be the one with yellow wires, IDK, google 5spd swap 240sx and see what you can find there are sites with pictures and in depth info about it
 
why? if people need lights to tell them that a car is going backwards, thats their fault.

the automatice body harness had a wierd setup for the backup lights. youd be better off just running a power wire to your reverse lights and using the switch on the tranny to act as the circuit connector. or pick up an FSM and find which plugs on the side of the fuse box are for them and run the switch to that.
