Interest in aluminum Diamond racing wheels?

Ok, I was just checking some interests. I know they make the steel wheels with custom sizes and offsets... But what if they made the same in aluminum? How many SFL drifters would be interested?

I sent out an Email to the owner, seeing if they had any interest in doing so. From my experience with companies in general, they usually will do it if they have enough up front buyers.

Having some buyers willing to pay pre-product helps alot also. So I am posting this on a few forums I am on to see if I can get a group of people willing to try and get them to launch a set of aluminum wheels at a low price like the steel.

If you are interested, just let me know. So I can tell them about how many people are really interested in this, to see if we can make it happen!

That, is because they most likely do not have enough pre-orders to complete and start a process. The same reason, most companies dont make production parts for a car for a while... Supply & demand...

In the email I sent I asked about the customs sizes and backspacing, the same they offer for the steel ones.
 
they told me flat out that they only work in steel so i highly doubt that its gonna happen even with preorders
 
those cast for those wheels are too thing to be made outo f alluminum...it would really fucking blow if you get them and they bend....
 
i only paid 220 shipped for mine where else can you get brand new 15x10 -20 offset for that price. They might not be the best looking wheels abut they got a gangster dish

+1 thats the reason I am wondering if they will do aluminum.. I would rock them as track wheels... Shit I am debating ordering a steel set right now... I dont have enough weight on the back of my truck anyway...
 
They won't make them. 1-They are too thin and making them in aluminum means having some guy redesign the wheels, stress testing, r and d, etc. Lots of money for... what a few guys that will prepay? Won't happen. 2- They make those wheels by pressing steel into formed moulds and out comes the product you see. For them to make them in aluminum (on top of what I said already) they will need to get a casting process and many other tools. Sorry to say but it won't happen.

dont get the stock car ones then cause it will feel like you have no power the other models are more expensive but are lighter

Couldnt have said it better myself.
Aluminum would double or triple the price of the wheel especially with custom orders.
Kodiakracing.com and a few other custom aluminum racing wheels charge up the ass for a custom set.
I paid a total of $542 w/shp for mine.

If u want aluminum and have around $1,500 to spend then there are plenty of manufacturers out there willing to make u a custom set.
