What a great moment captured by Flickr Member: Arics from Irwindale this past weekend. As Toshiki Yoshioka came off the bank at full force he slipped a little wide and wound up planting the rear of his AE86 right into the wall under the judges stand. The momentum swung the car right around and smashed the whole side and front into the wall as well. What a great moment at Formula D Irwindale captured by Arics.

Cuz they're 17's onna Hachi, fucking rad status, 300 all-bottle horses.

Glad it wasn't the new Tom's Soarer, that would've been bad.

I'm kinda surprised, I watched seeded practice a couple years ago at Irwindale with Mr. Ueno from the judges stand. And Yoshioka would consistently bumper tap the straight away clipping cone without moving it, fucking amazing driver.
 
You should see the 2005 Autopolis D1GP. He fucking wrecked the shit out of his car during practice or qualifying, and he still goes on to win the event.
 
I gave him some of Mr. Ueno's fuel at Vegas 2 years ago (I think) since he didn't advance. Yoshioka totally won that bitch too. From then on at every event I would see him I would throw a thumbs up and say special fuel, and he would laugh and say it back "speciar fuer"

So funny. Cool ass guy.
