I got my 240sx yesterday and we were in the process of transfering the car from my apartment to my aunts house. My apartment doesnt allow cars without tags...

So we leave and of course "manual noob" i get a bit down the road and the car stalls... thats fine, turn it on and try again, but it won't turn on. I pressed the clutch put it in neutral and turned the ignition but it won't start. I had to get it towed to her house. It had about a 1/4 tank of gas so I dont think that was the problem...

Here is a list of the stuff the previous owner put in the car:
1990 Fastback chassis, currently w/120k miles
1993 240sx engine KA24DE swap, currently w/105k miles
1992 240sx transmission swap, currently w/85k miles
Nismo motor & transmission mounts
ACT organic cluth w/heavy duty pressure plate
NEW clutch master & slave
Garrett 57 trim turbo
JGS manifold
TiAL wastegate
650cc injectors
Z32 fuel filter
Walbro 255 pump, hard wired to battery
N62 (Z32) MAF
tuned ROM ECU
Greddy front mount intercooler
Peak Boost BOV
Running 6psi

Can anyone offer any assistance? I know a lot of you know your way around 240's like the back of your hands...

was it converted from auto to manual.. your wiring might be wrong or it disconeted... answer mr.Finn's questions????

I believe it was always manual, I'd have to ask the previous owner to be sure. Sometimes the starter turns but no spark and then at times it doesnt turn at all.

could the fact that it hasnt been driven for a week be the cause? the last owner says i should leave it alone for about 15-20 mins and it should start up again.

check the wires going to the starter.... remember to disconect the battery while doing this.... test the starter with some wires, and try to hear if the fuel pump is turning on

okay this might be retarted but this happen to me if the car was fine before please make sure to chek the rubber button behind the clutch pedal that tells the car u are pressing the clutch ... there weak and break off stupid easy on my car i gotta push it with my foot not even my clutch so i would chek that first

the previous owner was telling me something like that... i think he said he replaced it with a coin...lol

do you know what the name is? I need to take it to the mechanic before i head off to college

not sure of the name of it but u can see it make sure the coin did not fall off its like the world smallest button its so u dont turn ur car on in gear (thats y u need to press the clutch to turn it on so u dont run into ur own house ) but the rubber weres out personnaly its such a small thing i just got us to pressing the button manually with my own foot .
