Power will come from a 3.7-liter version of Nissan's VQ powerplant. A pair of turbochargers will help it produce about 450 bhp and 360 lb.-ft. of torque.

Stock boost pressure will be limited to about 10 psi, but we hear that the engine is capable of handling a lot more. A tamer version of this V-6, codenamed VQ37HR-TT, will make its way into the upcoming Infiniti G35 Coupe. Key differences between the engines are that the GT-R's VQ will have the twin turbochargers, lighter pistons and connecting rods, as well as a beefed-up crankshaft. Other custom parts may make their way into the engine, including racing profile camshafts and new valvetrain. It will come mated to a Getrag 6-speed transmission or a paddle-shift sequential automatic with seven or eight gears.

maybe i'm misreading it...but how would the difference betwen the two engines be the twin turbos if the new G35 engine has a TT label also? sick car though

I just think from a skeptics point of view that Nissan would not release this info until mid or late summer before the Tokyo Auto Show. I believe this only because of the fact that Nissan has been so secretive about the entire specs of the car including handling. As from what I know without not bringing something to the table to chew on. I read on Autoblog.com that when Nissan had left their main Corporate office in California to go to Tennessee they had left to broken down G35 with Adjusted forms of the VQ's there. They had what was said to be extra exhaust plumbing for the engines, thus leading to many to believe that the next engine will be a modified VQ35 derivitive with TURBO POWER.

Don't get me wrong though I love this car and all forms of the previous ones that walked the production line. Plus I was lucky enough to grow up around them and ride in them.
