you can't rock different size tires or its just going to fuck everything up and you cant be booking 70mph down 95 in the rain with a welded either.

1. Y the hell would u run 2 different size tires daily.
2. I definitly was goin 85 down the sawgrass this mornin in the rain.
3. J30s suk dick.
4. Yes its a daily.

I love how people that dont have welded diffs talk about them like theyre the worst things ever. I daily drove my white car for over 2 years with a welded diff, and never ONCE spun out, got loose, had to fight the car from normal driving.

Maybe i should throw in that this is my only car and I have to daily it lol

Reliability is my 1st priority ha but I do need something that will slide yes.

basically, if you have power get a j30. a j30 isnt going to lock for a stock ka because it can barely spin the tires. it takes power to get a j30 to lock. so if you have a stock ka, get a welded...

wtf are you talking about?

GAHHH
I HATE IDIOTIC POST!

Just get a goddamn welded diff if you want to drift. If you dont want to drift, get a j30. Its that goddamn simple.

not true. I have an sr and use to shift lock the dick out of my old j30 and it wouldn't lock so very false.

VLSD 6 bolt (if your lucky to find one in the yard) is like $30-40.
like they he said option and prefer.

Welded put alot of stress on the tranny and you can rock different size tires or its just going to fuck everything up and you cant be booking 70mph down 95 in the rain with a welded either.

J30 sucks after you drift it alot cause the Viscous gets hot and the diff no longer works.

So yes J30 sucks as a drift diff if you plan on doing a event all day for a long time but its better if you daily the car more then you drift it.

Welded is great for a drift car and not so great to daily is what i say.

"I love my j30 diff because it allows me to run mismatched tire sizes on the rear of my car. I'm grimey as fuck."

Why you shift-locking? Most oem lsd's are 1-ways or close to it, so it ain't gonna lock under decel anyway.

dang nice to know lol. No wonder ^.^

Yep, mine included. Except for a few like Jackson who has it in his 2JZ 240 and a very very few other people who have race cars and daily something else.

*cough* what I'm trying to do with my next "small" ( and hopefully it stays that way) project lol.

you can also get a stick of jb weld and ball it up and toss it in the diff....works the same..

Is there another route other than j30 or welded i could do? obviously the best option would be to buy a REAL lsd lol

But I'm on a bit of a budget right now, like most of us.

I'm fully aware that welded would probably be the best for drifting on a budget, I'm just worried about the daily drivability aspect...

Did I mention I got on 1000 mile trips up to Indiana frequently? That's the only reason I can't make up my mind lol
