Just a thought for the next CFRC event

i was thinking about the course, the new track is awesome!
Thanks to NOS, Enjuku and all other sponsors, but i was wondering how the other drivers in C class and other classes as well as spectators would think about adding one more part to the line that i think would greatly increase learning potential for closer and more exciting tandem runs for all of us .

We basicly know the line on that course and love the new layout, but i feel the line is a bit short and an average run lasts about 15-20 seconds with little time for some real smokey up close tandem runs. So i was thinking what if we continue off the last corner where we all were tapping wall at Frankenslide and swing it back around like a wide finishing circle around the photo island then end it with basicly the same transition out off the wall back to the straight.

It would only add a couple seconds to each run and would add alotta good easy close up tandem practice with more smooth side ways time to learn to drive closer to each other and photo opps that would look smokey and close which in turn would just rep cfrc and florida drivers harder..

I'm down for whatever, but I like it how it is. When you're following, try to enter close to the lead car. That way you don't need time to suck up, and you won't have to run shallow angle or a shallow line to get close. Instead you're just maintaining proximity, or maybe sucking up a car length instead of 4. Following is so hard to do and make look cool. The last event wasn't great for tandem because of the wet inconsistent track, but when it's dry it's good. With someone you trust, ride their bumper on the run-up and initiate when it feels like you're going to run into them. I've been trying to practice doing that a little with Dan, and I've been learning a lot. Still have a ways to go though, but it's so fucking fun.

The bump is pretty bad though. It sounded like something broke on my car the last run I made at CFRC. That's probably why my tie-rod or balljoint or whatever sounded/felt like it was gonna fall off at countyline. I'm gonna check that out tomorrow.

first. your left side tires will be done really quick/rotate mid-event. 2nd, it will slow down the event a LOT. starter cannot send another car (tandem class) until you are out of the way for next dudes entry. and could never /hotlap/ that incase somone spins the exit turn, as people are coming into it.

there are other layout possibilities, but right now, this layout is still really a challenge and needs to be conquered. I'd like to get that bump fixed though.

well for the tires, we all know CFRC doesnt eat tires at all. i usually leave with unburnt tires after running the whole event.
for the time factor,it would take about a minute or so but the starter usually sends us off and we have to stall most of the time for wide exits that are the in entry zone anyways.
as for the hot lap, thats like the CFRC grand finally and could be done with either line.

i deff agree with the fact that this line needs to be conquered, i just thought itd be cool for easier learning to drive close to each other with out crazy risk of damage to our cars and sweeter photo opps..
its our local venue for practice and learning at same time its a show not a competition and we cant really practice close up tandems nor should anyone try in the street.

i like the bump.. it reminds me of some japanese courses with bumps and launches..:bigthumbu

yeah man i get it totaly, the last event wasnt good at all till the 2nd round, its was like you said everyones thinking were gonna go out there and kill it and all were gonna do is suck... lol
thanks for the imput! i still have alot plenty of room to learn aswell.

that vid is sick id love to see more of those types of runs in all of us in C class...
