ka drift?

Yes you can drift stock suspension to start out with if you want. If its your daily driver tho, idk if I would cut the springs lol.

u dont need a welded or coils to get started, open diff is one of the best ways to learn imo, it teaches u how to transfer weight and how to properly work the steering

you can try on an open dif, but it will be difficult to get started. a j30 is alright, but if you're working on a budget like that then weld your open. if you've got the loot get a pretty differential. stock suspension, but you'll be distracted by rolling around a bunch. don't get an ebay turbo. DON'T GET AN EBAY turbo. i was lucky to get a year out of mine (mostly hard parked) and it blew getting up to highway speeds.

just fyi, i have stock 4 lug and stock brake setup (only recently went to a hydro handbrake). there is not a crazy need to upgrade brakes, unless you want it to look nicer behind the wheels. and to top all that, i ran autozone duralast BS pads for 4 years... still are on the front hahahaha. rear just recently changed to project mu d1 pads.

Yeah, the best thing to really help you learn how to drift is seat time. It's really hard for me to get legitimate seat time, so it's taking me a long time to learn.

Most people I know tell me not to waste money on lowering springs. I don't really have all that much experience though, so I can't tell you for sure.

foreal?

ya know how like, you have to have a cage to tandem at events and stuff?

Can we make a rule to where you have to like be 21+ years old and like have a cage and a beard to give advice on this website?

coilovers or dont waste your money on lowering springs or anything like that, coilovers or nothing.

and in my opinion welded diff is the best way to go. its always locked up so its WAY more predictable and easier to control.

im drifitng with a stock everything with, ksport coilovers, a welded diff, and a corbeu seat.

i started on higher hp cars and i regret it. its so much more fun and more challenging on the ka. now i can do so much better stuff whenever i get an sr or ls

Ok, I didnt read what anyone else said, but you can drift a stock ka open diff car. I learned on a stock open diff s14. You just gotta clutch kick the shit out of it pretty much. It is easier with an lsd, however its not necessary to start and do your first events.

You can have someone ride along at most tracks. Also, you should ride along with people that know what they're doing. Just ask someone to get a ride.

if i could go back in time. id put coils(using megan streets), good lsd (i <3 my kaaz2way), and maybe headers 2 help with a lil bit of power and thats it lol. it 2 strart with. i regret my full exhaust, loud asss shitt not making crazy difference. clutch kick is ur bestest friend!!
