Ka Rod Knok

Hey. My Ka Has A Major Rod Knock Now. What Could It Be Exactly. The Sound Sounds Like It Coming From The Top. Could It Be The Head? Maybe A Pin That Connects The Rod To The Piston. Maybe A Bearing.? Any One That Could Help Please Let Me Know. Thank You.

Well I had sometrhing like that but sounds more like a clicking noise.....Very simlar to a timing chain....I asked for some advise and everyone mention to me to use Lucas that it may just be a lifter

if its rod knock, chances are its the connecting rod bearing

Only way to really know is to break the engine down. You know when you engine is knocking if its going clack clack clack.

Sadly thats true.

all ka's ive EVER had.... had sum kind of nock.... so....
but make shure the nock is not on the front of the valve cover, if so it may be the Chain guide. wich is a nissan recall .

Search CHain guide. or Chain tensioner.

use a stethescope to pin point area
then go from there
ka's always make noise
so the best is to use a scope
