i cant find it maybe im retarded at google or some shit
can somebody help me out here
please
thank you

ok so I don't know if you need dual cam or single cam and if its turbo (really doesn't matter though) but for dual cam I found this it might kind of help but it looks like it doesn't say much about bottom chain even though if you are putting it back together you should know about the notch and the harmonic balancer but anyways hope this helps:

You could search around that site

sorry its dual
but we totally lost the paper we had we know the cam timing i got that
we we need to figure out the main chain

ok so I am pretty sure this is how it works...

You turn the harmonic balancer till the notch lines up with the 0
thats "dead center" or when piston number one is at the very peak of its stroke
then you put the cams the way they are supposed to be at "dead center" then you just put the chains on and thats in time might have to play with the distributer a little to get exactly what you want but when I rebuilt my z thats how I did it....

and of course at dead center is when your spark plug ignites so the distributor spinny thing should also be on cylinder 1

Let me know if this is still not clear I will try to find the papers from rebuilding my boyfriends KA-T

so say what you want and shit

Yea, That was Very, Very sweet of you. THank you so much buuuuuut its not what he needs. In simple terms, he has the motor out and all covers off, there is a dot on the very bottom chain pulley, and thats the easy part. i put the chain on bring it up to the top and put it on the idler gear that then connects a new chain to the cams. i dont want to just put it on there hopeing its in time with that top gear bcz theres a notch on it too. it has to line up with somthing, THEN we put the cams on and throw those in time. PLease help tomarrow is due day for this car. tonights the last night of the cherry picker.. Please !

ok I really don't understand you... you put the bottom at TDC (chains set aside) then put the cams at TDC then put the chains on.... and its in time... or am I wrong I mean my car runs great??? You make it sound so so complicated and if its already apart it is so not complicated. Taking it all apart is all the "work"...
